Santa Claus is coming to town....

He's already been here!

Last Saturday we headed to the Pioneer Christmas Village at the county fairgrounds.

You can't get any better than free admission, free popcorn balls, free ornaments to decorate, free sleigh rides, and a free visit to Santa complete with pictures!

Our little SD town used to bring Santa in on a firetruck, but now that we live in a great big town of almost 10,000 - it was much more involved!

The Curly Kids, of course, had a blast, and once again, Mr. Curly was pretty excited.  The only downside was the stroller.  We had read that most everything was inside, so we skipped the snowsuits and took the stroller.  Everything was mostly inside, but there was lots to look at outside (including a living nativity) that the big wheeled wagon and snowpants would've been nice to have.  Thankfully there was no wind, and we wore snow boots, so the weather and footwear was perfect and we had a great time!

The round barn held TONS of decorations.  At every new display, Curly Girl would yell "Look!! ANOTHER SNOWMAN!!  LOOK!!!"

Santa's beard was legit and Mrs. Claus was picture perfect.  She kindly held Curly Baby for our official picture.  Curly Girl ran up, gave Santa a huge hug and kiss and said "I missed you!" She later told me that his beard tickled her lips.  Curly Boy was a little more shy, but still willing to set for a picture, and a bag of treats, of course.

How cute! What a fun event to go to! I'm with you, anything free that sounds like it could make a memory and an enjoyable time, I'm for it! Looks like a good time was had by all! Too cute with Curly Baby's comment to Santa :)

enjoy your day!
