What do you do when all your paintbrushes have petrified paint all over them?
Use spoons!
After this brief painting experience, when I couldn't convince the Curly Kids to stop pouring water all over the table, we moved the messy play outside. I followed a blog post from I Can Teach My Child to a post here and made Cloud Dough for my kids.
I was immediately glad we took it outside! The kids loved it and played for over an hour, taking 4 cups of flour down to half a cup. The rest they left on their clothes and the sidewalk.
