Remember Crystal Pepsi?
Right now! Yeah, I'd enjoy even that abomination right now.
See, Curly Baby was having some major spit issues, tummy issues and difficulty sleeping. It didn't seem to matter what my water in-take was, or what types of food I ate, the issues continued.
And then, well, then I realized the problems were worse on days I drank more pop.
I've had a long standing love affair with Pepsi, I feel no shame in admitting this. I realized in college while visiting Mr. Curly's family that it might be an addiction when I couldn't seem to get through my day without one.
Curly Girl allowed me to cut back to one pepsi a day. Curly Boy upped that to 3 cans a day so I could stay awake at work.
Curly Baby... yeah, well, I don't even want to say how much I would drink to get through a day before and especially after he was born.
But Sunday night I had my last pepsi. I did have a sprite on Monday with my supper, but that is basically glorified sugar water and doesn't really count. Now, as I write this, it is Thursday night and we haven't had any sleeping issues the past week, fewer spitting problems and WAY fewer upset tummies.
So while I'm starting my day with advil because it feels like someone took a baseball bat to the back of my head, Curly Baby is much happier. And I suppose, without those empty calories, I'm that much closer to losing those last 15 pounds (which will actually put me back to pre-Curly Girl weight).
